Daylight Home by Ma-Style Architects

25.11.14

This home combines a lot of wood together. The color of the wood and the contrast between the different textures is perfectly balanced and we think the cubic structure, ceiling and patterns of sunlight are amazing. Ma-Style Architects added laminated wood, sky lights and roof-beams giving the house a nice distribution of natural light by adjusting the way of letting daylight in.

Arts & Science

24.11.14

Arts & Science encompasses a brand and seven shops, all based in Tokyo and is created by stylist and creative director Sonya Park. Her work is based on quality that gets better and more beautiful within time. Highly skilled craftwork, comfort and materials that age well, together with unique looking designs is what makes this brand so great.

Unfortunately for us Tokyo is a bit far away but we love being inspired by people and concepts like this. And for those who are living nearby...you are lucky :)

1or2 cafe by Norm Architects

18.11.14

Most of you already know we have created a brand new concept for a store in the Netherlands called First or Second. The store opened in September this year. We have collaborated with Norm Architects for the cafe in the store. Norm Architects has taken care of the design of the 1OR2 cafe where an open structure and a japanese/scandinavian feeling were the key words in the design process.

In the cafe you can experience all the products of MENU and sit down to enjoy some delicious coffee and chocolates. We are proud to have collaborated with the always inspiring guys behind Norm Architects and the great people from MENU. It's an honor to collaborate with such great teams and to inspire each other and create new and beautiful things.

The First or Second store is located in Alkmaar (the Netherlands), more information here.

Thank you Wendy from Beeldsteil to work with us and for capturing the cafe.
